This project was very exciting as we were designing the houses from the ground up.
Naturally, our client wanted to make the most of the land they had purchased and
requested three dwellings if possible, with open plan living space and plenty of bathrooms
spread over the 3 floors - all whilst still keeping it spacious (across all floors) and
aesthetically in keeping with the local area.
To gain an extra bedroom at each property, we recommended using the loft as an additional
double bedroom, creating town house dwellings and bringing the bedroom total to 4 bed
per house. To gain as much space and natural light as possible, we recommended a dormer
window plus the use of multiple Velux windows. The use of French doors downstairs also
brings additional light into the living space.
Finally, with using the loft space as an additional bedroom, we created a walk-in wardrobe/
storage area on the 3 rd floor, and large, fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms to ensure storage
space was still adequate for the size of the home.
We have recommended our partner company, Harrison Construction, to carry out the works
who will be doing so later this year. We have also carried out the planning admin and
correspondence on behalf of our client which has ran smoothly and now been passed.
